Kente is a handwoven cloth that is a long standing tradition in Ghana. It is woven in strips that are sewn together to make larger pieces of fabric. The intricate patterns are made by combining warp-faced and weft-faced weaving technique, using brightly colored cotton yarn. The following pieces were made by a Ghanaian master weaver and given to The Yonkofa Project as gifts to supporter(s).
(Colors and patterns will be close, but due to the nature of these cloths, each one is unique and varies.)
